Watching IPTV for free on a former TV
If you want to go further and access a wide range of channels without antenna, IPTV is an interesting alternative. But how do you do when you own a television that doesn’t connect to the Internet?
-
Use an HDMI housing or key with an adapter
If your TV has an HDMI input, you can use an Android TV box, Fire Stick or Chromecast. These devices allow the installation of free IPTV applications and the streaming of content. For older televisions equipped only with a Péritel or RCA socket, an HDMI to RCA adapter will do the trick.
-
Transforming an old PC into an IPTV centre
A somewhat old-fashioned laptop can be recycled as an IPTV player by installing software such as VLC Media Player or Kodi. Simply connect it to TV via an HDMI or VGA cable and add an IPTV playlist to access online channels.
