: Remove the buttons from
Cook Start by removing the buttons from your stove. Most buttons can be easily removed with some force. If they are stubborn, go to your stove manual for advice. Once removed, set them aside.
Step 2: Prepare the solution
Put your gloves to protect your hands from strong ammonia vapors. In a small bowl, pour about 1/4 cup of ammonia. The exact amount may vary depending on the number of buttons you have, but a small amount is enough.
