Every day, millions of people ask themselves the same question: do we really have to take a shower every day? Between cultural habits, bodily needs and dermatological recommendations, the answer is not as simple. Too many showers can weaken the skin, but not wash enough is a hygiene problem. So how do we find the right balance? Follow the guide to adapt your routine without making a mistake.
Define your skin type before choosing your rhythm
Do you think the more you washed, the healthier your skin? It's not that simple.
- Fatty skin: Washing too frequently with aggressive soaps can make the problem worse. By removing the natural sebum, the skin produces more to compensate, making the face even brighter. A daily shower with a mild soap is sufficient.
- Dry or sensitive skin: If you tend to have redness, tightness or diseases such as eczema or psoriasis, limit the showers to two or three times a week. Too much water and soap may worsen the irritation.
- Normal skin: You can adjust the frequency according to your preferences and activity level, without too much risk to your skin.
