Plastic chairs impossible to see? I’m going to unveil all the tricks to whiten them perfectly.

Plastic chairs impossible to see? I’m going to unveil all the tricks to whiten them perfectly.
Let’s start with the most common problem: outdoor chairs. Often, when we reorganize the garden and the terrace, we notice that they turned yellow during the winter, although when we put them away, they were impeccable and impeccable. Cold, humidity and sunlight cause yellowing of plastics, which can easily be remedied. Humidfil a cloth with white wine vinegar and rub it on the surface, rubbing the most compromised areas. In short, the yellowish patina will fade and your chairs will become impeccable again.

Another very effective method, not only for these items, but also for household appliances, counters, doors and furniture, is to use hydrogen peroxide. Again, it should be applied pure and left to act for one hour. At the end of the installation, it is sufficient to rinse thoroughly and dry well. It’s very simple, isn’t it?

But let us come to the real asset in the sleeve of any housewife who plans to renew the yellow plastic: toothpaste. While this may sound unthinkable, it will make a difference, provided it uses the whitening version.

Use an old used toothbrush: not only is it easy to handle, but it can also reach places that would otherwise be difficult to access. Spread some toothpaste, rub it over the entire surface, insisting if necessary. You have to do circular movements exactly as you do when you brush your teeth. Leave for about 20 minutes, then dry with a mild, slightly damp cloth to remove the excess.

If a first layer is not enough, repeat the procedure by adding the tip of a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate. In this way, you will increase the whitening power of the toothpaste. The slightly abrasive action of sodium bicarbonate will penetrate between the polymers and make your objects snow-white.

Easy, isn’t it?
