People are often unaware of the potential of certain materials and attribute only one use to them – the usual one for which they were made. Let’s forget about chemicals for a moment and find out what you can do with a simple piece of foil:
Clean the steel jewelry by covering a bowl of foil. Immediately afterwards, fill it with hot water and add salt. Let the jewels soak, then dry them with a dry cloth to keep them clean and as new.
The method described above is also very suitable for worn-out hair, which has become dull over time, and combats the signs of age. A piece of advice? If you wrap the cutlery in foil, they will not tarnish.
Aluminium foil is also well suited to make an abrasive sponge and remove dirt stains from the shower curtain;
When the cane sugar has hardened in the cupboard, it is not necessary to throw it away. Simply form small sachets with foil and bake them at 150oC for only 5 minutes: the sugar is soft enough to be used immediately;
In the past, grandmothers sharpened the blades of the scissors with aluminum by folding them several times on themselves, then cutting them into a thousand different pieces. A simple process that made it possible to sharpen the scissors in just a few minutes;
Your grill plate is inlaid and can no longer be used? With foil, you can solve the problem by spraying vinegar on the barbecue and then scratching the inlaid dirt.
