Tomorrow you can skip the eggs for breakfast. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the recall of Milo’s Poultry Farms eggs, affecting products sold throughout the Midwest. The recall follows an FDA investigation linking Milo’s to an ongoing salmonella outbreak that led to 65 cases in nine states.

Why is Milo’s recalling its eggs?
Milo’s Poultry Farms is involved in a major salmonella outbreak in the United States. Of the 65 people infected with the Milo egg strain, 24 were hospitalized. The company stopped distributing eggs and was taking steps to disinfect its farms and processing equipment, but the diseases associated with the outbreak began on 23 May 2024.
