Why are young men more affected?
One particular question is that, in 20 years, strokes among men under 39 years of age have increased by 25%, while for women, the increase has been only 1%.
Why this gap? Several hypotheses emerge:

- Less rigorous medical follow-up, men generally consult less often than women.
- A riskier lifestyle, with unbalanced diet, high stress, and excessive alcohol consumption.
- Lack of physical activity, which promotes hypertension and cardiovascular disorders.
