How to remove cockroaches inside the house

Dispose of cockroaches with natural tricks
But yes, there's a range of home remedies that can eliminate these insects. And the big advantage is that most of them are not harmful to children or pets. It's really worth trying them out.

1. The borax

You probably already have it at home. But what you didn't know is that this laundry product is great for killing cockroaches. And for a better result, there is nothing like combining, in equal parts, borax and sugar. Pour this mixture wherever you notice the passage of cockroaches. Baited with sugar, cockroaches will be irresistibly attracted to it, but once they eat borax, they will be quickly dehydrated ... and you can say goodbye to them.

2. Boric acid

Boric acid is a gastric poison to which cockroaches have no resistance. So how do you achieve your goal? This time, mix the product with sugar and water in equal parts. Pour the solution into an open jar that you will place where these parasites pass. Once the cockroaches have consumed the mixture, they will be destroyed.

N.B.: If you don’t have boric acid on hand, the borax will do.

3. 3. Diatomaceous earth

Diatomaceous earth is an abrasive agent to be spread over surfaces frequented by cockroaches. It then sticks to the exoskeleton, causing a latent dryness. Similar to boric acid, this option is slow, but formidable against cockroaches. But, too much, is not. Many people do not always apply it correctly.

Important: Insecticidal bombs is not recommended. Often, the haze does not penetrate into small spaces and crevasses where cockroaches usually hide. Moreover, over time, some species become resistant to certain insecticides present, such as pyrethroids.

4. Sodium bicarbonate

It is a valuable ally on a daily basis, in many respects, but sodium bicarbonate has more than one turn in its bag. Yes, learn that you can easily add this household substance to your antiparasitic arsenal. Its powdery texture goes very well to that of sugar. So if you mix the two, the cockroaches will only see fire. And hop, once bicarbonate is swallowed up, if they consume water at the same time, their entrails swell and dilate, which eventually kills them.

N.B. However, sodium bicarbonate alone is not as effective as boric acid. But you can combine them for a more optimal result.

5. Essential oils
Essential oils can be very useful if you are dealing with a few cockroaches entering your house from the outside. So you can spray with at least 2.5% essential oil mixed with water, and then spray it around areas where cockroaches could easily penetrate. Which oils are best suited? Bet on eucalyptus, oregano and lavender flavourings.

6. Crush it

Yes, it's not your favorite way, especially as most people jump and don't even dare to approach it. But, if they are little cockroaches, less scary than the big cockroach, you can easily walk on it. Tell yourself that this is already a less cockroach to eliminate. And, remember: after crushing it, disinfect the area with an antibacterial cleanser to avoid spreading pathogens that the cockroach could have carried.

N.B.: Go free, don't be afraid to walk on it and release the eggs. If you disinfect the premises thoroughly, there will be no problem.

Dispose of cockroaches with chemical methods
Are you looking for chemical-based tricks to solve your cockroach problem at home? Here are some ways to get rid of them.

1. An insect growth regulator

If you have domestic cockroaches at home or think they are mass breeding, an insect growth regulator (IRP) would be welcome to control the infestation. It is available in a variety of formulations, including sprays with pyriproxyfen, a powerful insecticide. Although these regulators can be an effective control measure, it is preferable to use them in tandem with products that will effectively eliminate adult cockroaches, including baits, traps and liquid concentrates.

2. One syringe with gel bait

Why will the syringe be of great help to you? Because gel products will be able to reach certain hard-to-reach areas more easily. It is always better to cover more surfaces for cockroaches head towards the bait. Also, it would be wise to apply small gel points in areas where cockroaches enter and leave to feed, especially in the corners, under the cupboards, near cracks and edges. It should be noted that bait can take one to three days to kill these pests, which gives them time to potentially infect other cockroaches at the same time.

What's remarkable is that they catch these insects in a maximum of one or two days. Admittedly, this trick will not work if you are the victim of a large infestation, but at least it will tell you how serious a problem is. If you notice that these gangs seize a bunch of cockroaches, no doubt, you have an invasion at home. In which case, the help of a professional would not be a luxury.
