“He had always refused to go back on his story”
While announcing a media break until 2026, Florent Pagny did not remain inactive. He will prepare a new album alongside a famous singer and will star a new documentary. Entitled “Florent tells Pagny”, the film directed by Emmanuelle Cosso and Erwan L’Éléouet, with an idea by Laurent Delahousse, will be broadcast on France 3 on 15 March at 21h05. Viewers will thus be able to immerse themselves in the artist's career in a thousand lives. The performer of “Knowing how to love” “had always refused to go back on his story” according to a statement, but was convinced to tell herself to the novelist Emmanuelle Cosso, her friend for more than 30 years. About 100 hours of interviews were carried out between January 2021 and February 2023. Florent Pagny's voice will pass through the documentary, which will include unpublished archives and conversations given by the singer to the teams of France Télévisions.
“Driving by his voice and unpublished archives, you will discover how this child of the popular class invented an extraordinary destiny thanks to his vocal power. Florent recounts Pagny: these are his own words to evoke sixty years of an intense life and an unexpected chapter that has come to push everything, that of disease" promises France 3. The artist behind the hits "And one day a woman" or "Singing" had already been in the spotlight of a documentary early 2023 on TF1 which had been followed by 4 million viewers. Will it be better off on France 3? Answer next month.
