The simplest and cheapest method of scaring rodents is to use plants. Mice, like many other animals, are susceptible to certain flavourings. For this reason, it is worth using the properties of chamomile, laurel-pink, molene, lemon or tansy to drive them out.

In many cases, soaking cotton balls in an essential oil, such as peppermint essential oil, and spreading them in the corners and nooks of the house or subsoil will work. Similarly, the peeled and halved garlic pods will yield a similar result.
