A clean and fresh bed is essential for restful sleep and a healthy lifestyle. Yet, between sweating, dead cells, dust mites, and bacteria, bedding can quickly become a true germ nest if not regularly maintained. So how often should the sheets and other elements of the bed be wash?
Wash the sheets once a week
It is recommended to change and wash the sheets at least once a week. This eliminates sweat, dead skin and other residues accumulated each night. In periods of high heat or if you sweat a lot, it is better to wash them every three to four days.
Use adequate washing temperature
To effectively kill bacteria and dust mites, it is advisable to wash the sheets at a temperature between 55 and 65 degrees Celsius. Hot water helps to remove microorganisms and naturally disinfect textiles.
