How often should you wash sheets for a bleed house?

Dry the sheets outside if possible
Sun exposure is an effective way to eliminate bacteria and dust mites. If you cannot dry them outside, use a high-temperature dryer to ensure complete drying and avoid moisture that promotes the proliferation of mould.

Wash pillows every three months
Pillows accumulate a large amount of mites, bacteria and dead cells. It is therefore advisable to wash them every three months at 60oC if they are synthetic. For feather pillows, a switch to the dry-cleaning is recommended. Good drying is essential to prevent the formation of moulds.

Maintain the mattress regularly
The mattress is also a hotbed of dust and bacteria. To keep it clean:

Vacuum over it every six months to remove dust and dust mites.
Aerate it regularly, leaving the windows open.
In case of a stain, clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then allow it to dry completely before putting the sheets back on.

Regular maintenance of bedding contributes to a better quality of sleep and a healthier environment. By adopting these best practices, you reduce the risk of allergies and extend the life of your sheets, pillows and mattresses.
