To remove yellowish stains on a mattress, a simple solution based on vinegar and hydrogen peroxide is very effective.

Ingredients required:

250 ml white vinegar
250 ml hydrogen peroxide

Methodology:

Aspirate the surface of the mattress to remove dust and residue.
Prepare a solution with sodium bicarbonate and water, then spray it onto stains. Allow to act for a few minutes before rubbing with a sponge.
Mix the white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide in a bowl.
Imbrub a clean cloth of the solution and rub the yellowed areas of the mattress.
Allow to dry well by venting the room well.

Prevent yellowing of pillows and mattresses

Use waterproof covers to protect pillows and mattresses.
Ventilate the bedding every day to avoid moisture build-up.
Avoid sleeping with wet hair or eating in your bed to limit stains.

Thanks to these natural tricks, mattresses and pillows regain their whiteness without resorting to aggressive chemicals. Regular maintenance not only improves bed hygiene, but also extends the life of the bedding.
