Storing Homemade Tomato Sauce:
If you have leftover tomato sauce, don’t worry! Homemade tomato sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Simply place the sauce in an airtight container and refrigerate it until you’re ready to use it again.
For longer storage, you can freeze the sauce. Transfer the cooled sauce into freezer-safe containers or zip-lock bags, making sure to leave some space for expansion. Frozen tomato sauce can last for up to 3 months. To use, simply thaw it in the refrigerator overnight or heat it directly from frozen on the stovetop.
