Technique for pluning any branch (with 1 ingredient only)

If you cannot plant the branches immediately after cutting them, it is recommended that they be immersed in water. This prevents them from drying out before being planted in the soil-sand mixture.

Planting and maintenance
For planting the branches, a simple cut plastic bottle may act as a pot. Puncture a few holes to the bottom to ensure good drainage, then fill the bottle with the mixture of soil and sand. Insert the branches into the substrate, ensuring that the diagonal cut base is well buried.

Watering plays a crucial role in this technique. You will sometimes have to water twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon. It is important never to allow the earth to dry out completely. To determine whether watering is sufficient, the water must flow through the drainage holes, indicating that the substrate is properly moistened.

Rooting time
The time needed for the branches to develop roots depends on the type of plant you want to propagate. It usually takes between 30 and 120 days before the first roots appear. Be patient, as some branches take longer than others to take root.

Expected results
This method is not only simple, but also extremely effective. Whether you want to root mint, lemon, rosemary or fig branches, it works for almost every species. By following the cutting, mixing and watering instructions, you can obtain perfectly rooted branches without having to buy young plants.
