. Step 3: Assemble the Dessert
Once the lemon filling has cooled, spread a layer of the lemon mixture over the ladyfingers in your dish.
Repeat layering: dip more ladyfingers in milk and layer them on top of the lemon filling. Add another layer of lemon filling over the ladyfingers. Continue alternating layers until you’ve used up all the ladyfingers and lemon filling.
. Step 4: Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the 350 ml of whipping cream with 45 g of powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. This will take a few minutes with a hand mixer or stand mixer.
Spread the whipped cream evenly over the top layer of the lemon filling.
. Step 5: Chill and Serve
Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
Optionally, decorate with lemon jam for an extra burst of flavor and a beautiful presentation.
