I mixed sodium bicarbonate with water in a small bowl to make a paste. Using a cloth, I applied the dough to the accumulation on the top and outside of the rail and in the vertical part of the rail and left it to stand. I don't remember how long I let it rest because I was working on other things, but I would probably say 30 minutes. I wiped the dough with a damp cloth, and surprisingly, a good part broke away at first. If your doors don't have a lot of accumulation like mine (and I'm sure they probably don't), you may have finished this initial clean-up.
