Cleaning of the mattress
Sodium bicarbonate
or sodium bicarbonate is the ideal product for removing stains, neutralising odours and disinfecting. It is the versatile ingredient par excellence, as it can be used to clean all surfaces of the house. Before use, sprinkle enough of this white powder on the surface to be treated or over the entire mattress and allow the product to work for 1 hour. After this time, brush the entire surface with a soft brush to remove the mattresses from the mattress in circular motions. Then vacuum over the entire mattress to remove dust, dust mites and sodium bicarbonate residues. For better efficacy, if possible, you can put the mattress in the sun and sprinkle it with sodium bicarbonate. The sun and white powder work best to kill the bacteria and the tiny bugs that enter your mattress. Finally, use the vacuum cleaner to remove any excess sodium bicarbonate.
Another way to do this is to mix 250 grams of sodium bicarbonate with 5 drops of tea tree essential oil and sprinkle this filtered mixture onto the mattress. After one hour, vacuum the mattress and do the same on the other side.
