To sharpen the knife, a sufficiently abrasive material is necessary, but not too much. Something like stone, for example. And if you look carefully in the dishwasher, you see that nothing happened. We find something that suits us: the bottom of a coffee cup that we washed the day before.

Just look at the porcelain circle that has no paint on it. It is part of the abrasive cup, but not too much. That is what you need to sharpen with a truly unbeatable value for money.

To sharpen it in a few seconds, it is sufficient to place the knife blade at the bottom of the cup, but a board inverted on the work surface is also suitable.

At this point, you just have to pass the knife over the granular edge 5 to 6 times, first on one side and then on the other. In the end, we have a real, very sharp Japanese knife blade.
