6 Dangerous Medicines You Should Think for Twice Before Taking

You can trust your doctor, but be aware of all the medicines he prescribes for you and make sure they are not dangerous to you. Latest studies have shown that most popular prescription medicines have potentially serious side effects, ranging from short-term nausea and headaches to myopathy and heart disease of an inflammatory nature – and even worse in some cases.

Many people are unaware of this important information, and still believe in the myth that the benefits of FDA- or ANSM-approved drugs far outweigh the possible risks. In order to clarify matters, this article covers six classes of prescription drugs that are not entirely safe for health.

1. Proton pump inhibitors (PIPs)
Millions of people around the world are taking PMIs to reduce gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a state of health characterized by symptoms or damage to the mucous membranes caused by the abnormal reflux of gastric juices in the stomach.

But PMIs such as Nexium (esomeprazole) and Prevacid (anansoprazole) block the absorption of nutrients and prevent the production of the necessary gastric acid. This leads to many other health problems. )

The FDA has issued a dozen warnings about the side effects of PPIs, including an increased risk of bacterial diarrhoea, magnesium deficiency and bone fractures (https://www.fda.gov/). Regular and prolonged PPI is associated with an increased risk of pneumonia and unhealthy weight gain. 2. Statins
Statins have been ranked at the top of drug sales for several years. These medicines are hailed by medicine as a “miracle” cure for high cholesterol and heart disease. However, statins such as atorvastatin calcium (Lipitor) and calcium rosuvastatin (Crestor) actually increase the risk of diabetes, liver disease, brain damage, muscle atrophy and even premature death.

Statins have many side effects, some are so serious that the FDA recently issued official warnings associated with their use. (http://www.fda.gov/F orConsumer s/Consumer Updates/uc m293330.htm)

In addition, many studies have confirmed that taking statins as primary prevention is not as effective as expected, which means that this class of medicines is unnecessary for the millions of healthy people who are supposed to take these medicines.

3. 3. Antibiotics
They are the main cause of antibiotic-resistant “supermicrobes”. They do not bring many benefits, and their use can cause long-term health problems. Antibiotics are often prescribed for conditions that do not respond to their properties, and long-term system abuse has effectively caused more serious and incurable infections.

Shane Ellison, who holds a master’s degree in organic chemistry, says that levofloxacin (Levaquine), Vancocin (vancomycin hydrochloride), and Bactrim (trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole) are the three most dangerous antibiotics currently prescribed.

It also listed quinolones, which are considered the most commonly prescribed type of antibiotic, and noted that antibiotics such as Cipro (ciprofloxacin), Avelox (moxifloxacin hydrochloride) and ofloxacin (Floxin) can cause severe and permanent disability.

4. Antipsychotics
Although they are considered non-dangerous, antipsychotics are one of the most lethal classes of medicines. They are commonly prescribed for the treatment of psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and moderately severe major depression, and also for many “cracking” conditions, including mild mood disorders and daily anxiety.

On the other hand, the researchers showed that popular antipsychotics such as quetiapine fumarate (Seroquel), Abilify (aripiprazole), Risperdal (risperidone) and zyprexa (olanzapine) increase blood sugar levels, raise lipid and cholesterol levels, and promote weight gain.
