Imagine a young child who, barely capable of complete old sentences, reveals an icy secret: he claims to have been murdered in a previous life. More disturbingly, he indicates where his body would have been buried and where the murder weapon would be ... and this information turns out to be correct. This story, which seems to have come out of a film, would take place in the Golan Heights, on the border between Israel and Syria.
In his book Children Who Have Lived Before: Reincarnation Today[ Les enfants qui ont vécu auparavant : Aujourd’hui la réincarnation, the German therapist Trutz Hardo tells the story of this boy, as well as many other children who seem to remember with disturbing precision their previous lives. This account was reported by Dr. Eli Lasch, known for contributing to the development of Gaza's medical systems in collaboration with the Israeli government in the 1960s. Died in 2009, Dr. Lasch had shared these intriguing events with Hardo.
An extraordinary survey
The three-year-old boy from the Druze community accurately recounted how he was killed in a previous life. With disconcerting insurance, he led the villagers to the exact place where his body was buried. To their astonishment, they deterred a human skeleton... as well as an axe corresponding to the description given by the child.
A disturbing detail reinforced the credibility of his narrative: he had a red birthmark on his forehead, precisely where he claimed to have been fatally struck. According to Druze beliefs, but also other spiritual traditions around the world, birthmarks could be traces of wounds sustained in a past existence.
