Introduction
A plugged drain is a problem that each of us can encounter. Not only does this make it difficult to use the sink or sink daily, but it can also cause an unpleasant odour in the house. Fortunately, there is a simple, effective and environmentally friendly way to solve this problem, without having to call a plumber or use aggressive chemicals.
Ingredients
1 cup sodium bicarbonate
1 cup vinegar (white or apple)
Hot water (approximately 2-3 litres)
Optional: lemon juice to neutralise the odour of
vinegar
Preparation of the drain: Make sure the drain is reasonably dry. You can dry it with a paper towel or let it dry for a few minutes.
Add soda: Pour a cup of sodium bicarbonate directly into the drain.
