Then, like a clock, Tyler came back crawling.
One evening, they knocked on my door. I opened and found a rugged Tyler holding a half-woolled bouquet of flowers. He forced a blemish, a smile that he probably thought melted my heart.

The color disappeared from his face.

I retreated, letting him trip over his words as he tried to explain himself. When he finally paused, I rolled my eyes again.
