Use salt to open pipes
A plugged drain can be a real nightmare. Rather than turning to an outlet filled with powerful chemicals, an easier and environmentally friendly solution is to use salt. Pour about half a cup of salt into the drain. Thanks to its abrasive texture, it will be able to clean many caps by itself. Then pour boiling water carefully into the drain.

If you have some extra ingredients, you can try another method: mix a cup of salt with a cup of vinegar and lemon juice. Pour this mixture into the drain, leave to act for about 15 minutes, then rinse with boiling water.

Use the tab under your rear-view mirror
Have you ever been blinded by the main-beam lights of a car behind you? There is in fact a simple solution. If you have a manual mirror, you may never have thought of the small tab attached to it. The latter tilts the mirror between the pipe by day and by night, thus adjusting the way the light passes through the glass. In night driving mode, it attenuates incoming light, making the headlights less dazzling. If you have never used this feature, it will revolutionise your driving at night.

Use the tab of the can
You savor the sound of opening a can of soda: the gas that escapes, the bubbles. But have you ever wondered what the aluminum tab is for? It can actually be used to hold your straw in place. Just turn the tab and pass your straw through. Without this trick, drinking with a straw quickly becomes embarrassing and prone to accidents. You now have the solution.
