Dates are effective for people with anaemia. This is because a consumption of 100 grams contains 0.90 g of iron, or 11% of the recommended daily intake.
Iron plays an essential role in the body, breathes all cells and transports oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the organs. The body of an adult man contains about 4 g of iron, while that of a woman contains 2.5 g of iron. Iron deficiency can therefore have serious health consequences.
