Children hit in La Rochelle, the 83-year-old driver says she has had a feeling unwell

The octogenarian says “not to have seen cyclists”
The woman in question had since not been able to be heard by the police because of her state of health. Once again in a position to speak, she was finally interrogated on Friday 14 June by the investigators from the hospital. “She was heard last Friday ... after positive advice from the medical profession,” said La Rochelle prosecutor Arnaud Laraize on Tuesday 19 June. "She says she was uncomfortable and not seeing the cyclists" which would have caused the big collision, he added, confirming a report from the South West newspaper.
Two weeks after the tragedy, the injured children were discharged from hospital. The octogenarian has seen a “pacemaker” and awaits the results of further investigations into his pre-accident health.
Initially open for unintentional injuries by vehicle driver, the ongoing investigation could be extended to the categorization of manslaughter by motor vehicle manslaughter, France Bleu reports.
