Bad habits that harm the liver

1. Using moldy or partially spoiled food

Many people, especially the elderly, have the habit of saving, so even though they realize that the food has signs of spoilage, they still can’t bear to throw it all away and keep the part that still looks usable to eat.

However, when a part of the food is spoiled, it means that the entire food has been spoiled and contains a large amount of aflatoxin – a naturally produced fungal toxin that is dangerous to human health. This is also one of the main causes of liver cancer if used regularly.

2. Eat lots of sweets

Foods high in sugar and polysaccharides can actually be harmful to the liver. Because consuming too much-refined sugar and foods high in fructose such as cakes, sugary drinks, candy, etc. will make the liver unable to process them effectively, increasing the synthesis of triglycerides that accumulate in liver cells, thereby increasing the risk of disease.

Doctors point out that eating foods containing too much sugar is just as harmful to the liver as drinking alcohol
