"He watched me calmly and reserve, without aggression or fear. It showed me that this creature knew with certainty that it was capable of defending itself if necessary, but that it did not need to exert this energy unnecessarily,” said Ms. Langley about the monster, which she filmed before it disconnected. “This area is his house, not ours, and my children and I keep this respect and reverence every time we are in nature.

What a beast.
The online community was horrified when it saw the fearless snake resting along a common hiking trail.

Believing that his eyes deceived her, a netizen wrote, "What is it?" And another one: "This picture doesn't sell South Carolina.

Others are impressed by the size of the snake. "What a beast. "writing one of them.

“It looks like something we would see in the Amazon jungle,” adds another, while a third simply says, “It’s a big beast.”

One person commented, jokingly, “He’s probably already swallowed someone’s child,” adding, “I won’t go to NO path, end point.”

Other netizens have tried to identify the species of the snake: “It’s a huge mouth of cotton,” said one of them. The cotton mouth is a very venomous viper, which is frequently found in the region, as are copper heads.

Killer snakes, also known as water moccasins, are often confused with their kinder parents, such as the brown water snake.

Safe water snake
