When winter begins, and temperatures begin to drop dramatically, many people feel that their toes (and some complain about their fingers too) are swollen. In addition to the swelling that appears on the toes, this condition causes a completely unpleasant pain.
What is swollen fingers?
Swollen fingers is a condition caused by inflammation of the tiny blood vessels in the fingers (toes or hands) after exposure to cold air. Swollen fingers are often painful, and tend to affect the skin of the feet and hands. Other names for this condition include Pernio, Perniosis and a vascular disorder caused by exposure to cold.
