When a worker encounters a woman who begs with his child, he does not imagine that their paths intersect for a good reason. After she asked him for money, he gave her everything he had to get her home healthy and safe home. But what happened afterwards shocked him.
On a cold November evening, Greg, a robust construction worker with gray wicks in his beard, left his construction site and headed towards the station. He was far from suspecting that an interaction at the station would change his life forever.

At the age of 40, the exhausted man had gone through enough hardships to recognize the difficulties when he saw them, but he rarely extended beyond polite sympathy. His wife, Diana, his 15-year-old daughter, Jamie, and his 12-year-old son, Alex, were waiting for him at home, and every day he worked hard to save for their future.
On that day, however, something unusual caught his attention.
As he moved into the bustling crowd of the station, a woman holding a baby was standing near the exit, his silhouette partially shaded in the cold evening light. She didn’t look in her place, well dressed but worn out of the season, as if she hadn’t planned to spend her day there.

Her hands shuddered by clutching the baby against her. Greg stopped and watched him, wondering if he should stop. When the woman in the tired air at last met her gaze, her face lighted with a brief glimmer of hope.
“Excuse me, sir?” His voice was trembling, carrying a kind of despair that was difficult to ignore. “Could you please lend me money for a ticket?” I have money at home; I just need to go. ”
