How to restore the sparkle to plastic chairs? Effective ways to refresh them.

Method of preparation:
Cleaning of dirt and grease
For starters, wash the chairs with warm water and a little detergent to remove any dirt, grease and dust. Use a soft sponge or cloth to gently wipe the surface. Then rinse thoroughly with water and dry the chair. This is a basic step that will remove visible dirt before moving to deeper cleaning.
Eliminate yellowing of the plastic
If your plastic chairs have turned yellow or grey, try using sodium bicarbonate. Prepare a dough by mixing 2 tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate with a little water. Apply it to yellow areas and leave to act for 15 to 20 minutes. Then use a soft sponge to gently rub the surface. Sodium bicarbonate will help restore the natural colour of the plastic.
Bleaching with vinegar and lemon
Vinegar is an excellent way to get rid of fat and stains, and the lemon will add a bleaching effect. Mix 1 part of vinegar with 1 part of water and add a few drops of fresh lemon juice. Using a sponge or cloth, apply the mixture over the entire surface of the chair. Leave to act for a few minutes, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth. Lemon will effectively remove yellowing and vinegar will neutralise dirt.
Plastic polishing
If you want to give your chairs greater brilliance, use toothpaste. Apply it to the surface of the plastic chair, especially in dull or striped areas. Gently polishing with a soft sponge or cloth until the plastic regains its radiance. Remember not to use coloured toothpaste as they may contain dyes that may stain the plastic.
Eliminate stubborn spots
You can use isopropyl alcohol to remove greasy stains or old dirt. All you need to do is soak a cloth and wipe the dirty surface. Alcohol rapidly dissolves fat and dirt, leaving your plastic fresh and clean. Remember to wipe the surface with clean water after cleaning to remove any residue of alcohol.
Protect and hydrate plastic (optional)
After carefully cleaning and dried the chairs, you can use a special plastic spray. This preparation will help to protect the surface from dirt and restore its deep shine. You can also use a plastic moisturizer to protect your furniture from cracks and discolouration in the sun.
Service and conservation advice:
Regular cleaning: To keep your plastic chairs new for a long time, try to clean them regularly. You can set up a routine in which you will remove any dust, stain and dirt accumulated every few weeks.
Store in good conditions: It is preferable to store plastic furniture in places protected from intense sunlight, which can cause them to discolour. If the chairs are used on the outside, it is advisable to store them in a dry and dark room after the season.
Variants:
Plastic garden chairs: If your plastic chairs are intended for the garden, remove regularly any accumulation of dust, soil and pollen. In addition, if the furniture is exposed to harsh weather conditions, the use of special protective preparations may extend its lifespan.
Chairs with paint stains: If there are paint stains on the chairs, try using diluted acetone or special paint strippers. Be sure to test on a small part of the chair to make sure that the agent does not affect the colour of the plastic.
