Improves muscle definition
Pumps are one of the most basic and effective exercises for developing muscle mass. Doing a few sets of pumps regularly can make you look sculpted. But it's not as simple as pushing your body weight from the soil. There are several variants of pumps, and each of them stresses different muscles.
Conventional pumps, where the hands are spaced apart at the width of the shoulders, work mainly the triceps. Wide pumps, with hands spread twice as wide as the shoulder width, strengthen the chest. Narrow pumps, with hands close together, benefit both triceps and pectorals. The pumps forward with the hands placed about 20 cm in front, and the pumps back with the hands placed 20 cm behind, stress the abdominals and back muscles. By varying your types of pumps, you can strengthen and define several muscle groups.
