1. Citric acid
When contact with citric acid, the iron oxide reacts and the rust becomes colourless. To do this, it is sufficient to dilute 2 tablespoons of citric acid in 1/2 litre of hot water. Apply your mixture to the rust. Put a brush on it. All you have to do is rinse and dry well. There is another solution for removing citric acid. To do this, you must first put on a pair of household gloves to protect your hands. Then sprinkle a damp sponge with a teaspoon of citric acid. Soak your sponge in 1/2 litre of hot water. Spread it over the rusted area and then rinse and dry well.
2. Sodium bicarbonate and vinegar Put a tablespoon of sodium bicarbonate into a cup.
Pour vinegar over it to dilute the sodium bicarbonate. Put on your cleansing gloves and then with a brush, take your sparkling mixture. Apply it to the rusted areas. Finally, use a wet sponge to remove residues. 3. 3. White of Meudon and alcohol It is also called white from Spain. In any case, it is very effective in eliminating iron rust.
