Cooking is not an easy task. Sometimes an unexpected event or lack of attention makes you forget the food on the cook long enough for the food to spoil and burn the frying pan. Overcooked foods are certainly no longer suitable for consumption, but you can save your stove. We give you our advice on how to clean a burnt stove.

1 – WOOD CENDING FOR POT CLEANING

Do you have a fireplace and so do you keep the ash available for washing or dispersal in the garden? Wells. Be aware that this can also help you recover a burnt dish. As if you clean the window of a fireplace, you can soak a sponge in dimmed ash and rub. Otherwise, put some in the frying pan, add some hot water and cook for a moment. After these steps, rinse thoroughly with clean water and wipe the pot with a sponge. Remember that you may be able to replace it with clay.

2 – CITRIC ACID

Citric acid of natural origin is a naturally active substance in lemon. Very useful as a descaling agent, but also for removing rust from the metal or dissolving the foam on the terrace tiles, citric acid is an ecological household product because it is 100% biodegradable. You can buy it as a powder in the shop… or use lemon juice if you have it in your fruit basket in your kitchen.

To remove stains deposited at the bottom of a scorched pan (especially if it is made of cast iron or stainless steel), pour 2 tablespoons of citric acid into the saucepan and cover with boiling water. Then allow the acid to act for a few minutes. You can then scratch everything with a wooden spatula or sponge. Then rinse the saucepan several times with water.

Caution: Although natural and environmentally friendly, citric acid should not be used on enamel or aluminium.
