The Invisible Impact of REM Sleep Defaction
REM sleep is an essential phase of night rest. It is at this point that our brains sort out memories, that our body is repaired, and that the DHA is released. If you can't get into this phase, you secrete less DHA... and you urinate more. It is a vicious circle.
As a result, you get tired when you wake up, your concentration decreases, your mood suffers, and your bladder is not the only one that has the effect.
Careful about alcohol and caffeine
One of the most insidious enemies of restful sleep? Alcohol. Contrary to popular belief, it does not help you sleep. It disrupts the sleep cycle and inhibits the production of DHA, increasing the need for urination.
Caffeine and nicotine, too, lengthen the time to fall asleep and fragment sleep.
