Home-made treatments for dry hair for strong and healthy locks

Home-made hot oil treatment

Hot oil treatments are one of the simplest and most effective rejuvenating remedies for dry hair. The best part of a home-made hot oil treatment is that you can make custom blends according to your hair type.

You will need

2 tablespoons of oil
2 tablespoons of oil
olive 2 tablespoons of oil
of jojoba 2 tablespoons of coconut oil

Methodology

Mix all the oils in a medium-sized saucepan and warm it up. (You can customize this mixture by adding or replacing oils.)
Do not overheat as this will eventually damage your scalp. Make sure it’s warm, not hot.
Massage the hair with this oil mixture and wrap it in a towel.
Unwrap it after 30 minutes and wash with a soft shampoo.

Using this treatment once every seven days will give you softer, shinier and healthier hair.

. Oil treatments also help to reduce the formation of forked tips in the hair (1).

Krishika Vashistha, a blogger, shared her prewash routine, which included scalp oil with coconut oil. She massages her scalp with oil a few hours before washing her hair. In her blog, she wrote, “I use coconut oil, she treats forked tips, nourishes hair and works better for me. A good massage with warm coconut oil, or any capillary oil, is so relaxing and improves blood circulation in the scalp (i). ”

Mixture of egg yolk and water

Egg yolk is another wonderful remedy for dry hair. It revitalises the stems of your hair and keeps it hydrated. Most natural remedies for hair conditioning involve eggs (2).

You will need

2 egg yolks

Methodology

Take two eggs and separate the yolk from the whites.
Add three tablespoons of water and beat until the mixture is slightly foamy.
Apply all of your hair and wait 30 minutes before washing.
Use cold water to wash your hair. This prevents the egg from “cooking” and controls the odor.

You’ll be surprised at the instant gloss of your hair.

Hair mask with eggs, honey and yogurt

There is nothing as nourishing as this homemade dry hair mask. One of these masks is this made from eggs, yogurt and honey. Eggs are rich sources of protein and nutrients that help to stimulate hair growth rates (3). The protein content of yogurt can strengthen your hair locks from the roots and add extra shine, without removing its natural moisturization. It contains probiotic bacteria that increase the anagen phase of hair follicles, resulting in shinier hair growth (4).

You will need

2 eggs
1 tablespoon of honey
2 tablespoons of yoghurt

Methodology

Beat two raw eggs in a medium-sized bowl.
Add one tablespoon of honey and two tablespoons of yogurt. Mix until a smooth and creamy paste is obtained.
Apply this mixture to your hair and let it work for at least 20 minutes.
Wash with cold water.

This hair mask will leave your hair conditioned without making it sticky.

This is the perfect care for mixed hair (root fat, dry at the tips.)
