In a tragic hunting accident in Lorraine, a 50-year-old man who hunts arcman was fatally hit by a deer. This rare event took place in Dainville-Bertheléville (Meuse), and the victim originated in Merville, northern France.
At the time of the accident, the victim was participating in a beating, accompanied by experienced hunters familiar with the Vosges foothills.
Hervé Vuillaume, president of the Meuse departmental hunting federation, said that although incidents where hunters are hit by deer are not uncommon during the season, this tragic case is particularly exceptional.
He pointed out that the victim was unfortunately in the animal's escape line, in the wrong place at the wrong time.
