Natural recipe for whitening teeth with lemon

Homemade recipe for a bright smile

Ingredients required:

  • 1 teaspoon (approximately 5 g) fluoride toothpaste
  • A few drops of fresh lemon juice (approximately 1 ml)

Preparation and application:

  1. In a small container, mix the toothpaste and lemon juice until a homogeneous paste is obtained.
  2. Apply this paste with a soft toothbrush, without rubbing too vigorously.
  3. Leave to act for up to 1 minute. This short period of time is enough to have an effect without risking erosion.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

How often to use this trick?

No more than once a week. The lemon, even if diluted, remains an acid. At high doses or used too often, it may weaken your enamel. Imagine spending a sandpaper every day on a smooth surface: the result would be visible, but at what price.

Some advice after application

After using this method, avoid very colorful foods such as coffee, tea, red wine or beets for a few hours. Your teeth, a little more porous just after application, are like a sponge: they easily absorb pigments.

When should we stop?

If you experience unusual dental sensitivity or discomfort, it is better to stop using this mixture and consult a professional. Each mouth is unique, and what works for one may not be suitable for the other.

For a bright smile… in the long term

This home-made recipe is a one-off solution, a little bit of brilliance as a shirt would be quickly retracted. But to keep a bright smile on a daily basis, there is no substitute for good oral hygiene, regular visits to the dentist and the use of suitable products.

Smoor-friendly alternatives, such as professionally validated whitening toothpastes, also exist for those seeking long-term results without the risk of damaging their enamel.
