The mother selected Laura, her goddaughter, as the main beneficiary in her will. Throughout her darkest moments, Laura had been a constant source of comfort and stability. Over the years, Laura was the one who supported and comforted the woman when she felt abandoned by her own family. The woman believed Laura’s devotion and assistance should be acknowledged because she had been like a daughter to her.
