Regular cleaning is essential to ensure that your iron performs at its best and lasts longer. Rather than using harsh chemicals, there are natural and eco-friendly methods to clean your iron effectively. These methods are easy to follow and use items you likely already have at home. In this guide, we’ll explore how to keep your iron clean, shiny, and in top condition with simple, natural cleaning techniques.

Ingredients:

Baking soda
White vinegar
Salt
Lemon juice
Water
Cotton cloth
Paper towels
Directions:

For Removing Stains on the Soleplate:

Mix equal parts of baking soda and water to create a paste.
Apply the paste to the soleplate of your iron using a soft cloth.
Gently scrub the soleplate in a circular motion to remove stains and buildup.
Wipe off the paste with a damp cloth and dry the iron with a paper towel.
For Cleaning the Steam Vents:

Fill the iron’s water tank with equal parts white vinegar and water.
Set the iron to the steam setting and turn it on, allowing the steam to flow through the vents.
Let the steam work for a few minutes to dissolve mineral deposits. Once done, empty the tank and rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
