Ticks, a danger even in your house

We often think you’re safe at home. And yet… our pets can become real tick taxis. These parasites take advantage of your dog’s or cat’s coat to enter your home discreetly.
Some ticks don’t get attached right away. They are waiting for the perfect moment to settle. A simple contact is enough, and here you are.
Even in winter, stay vigilant
Contrary to popular belief, ticks do not sleep in the winter. As soon as the temperatures exceed 5oC, they become active again. They are fewer, but not less dangerous. This is why visual inspection is essential after every walk, in any season.
The right reflex: the tick clip
Invest in a special thumbwheel or tick hook. These tools remove the intruder without tearing off its head, which could leave infectious fragments under the skin.
