But do we really have to take these prophecies literally? The majority of historians and researchers agree that they are more a matter of myth than reality. The nebulous style of Nostradamus allows a thousand interpretations. The visions of Baba Vanga are reported without written evidence. As for the prophecy of St. Malachy, according to many scholars, it is a fake fabricated in the Renaissance.
And yet, prophecies fascinate. A bit like reading his horoscope hoping to find a hidden meaning in his day. They offer powerful narratives, symbols, landmarks in a chaotic world. But be careful not to confuse spirituality with science. Astrology and sightedness are not based on any rigorous method. They are beliefs, not facts.
