Sorted out neglected clothes
Washing delicate fabrics with heavier garments, such as jeans, will cause the fabrics to wear out more quickly. Additionally, items left in pockets can cause snags or damage the machine.
The unexpected trick: two plastic bottles to protect your clothes
What if the solution was in your recycling bin?
Rather than investing in expensive accessories, simply slide two empty plastic bottles into the drum before starting the machine.
How does it work?
The bottles rotate with the laundry, reducing direct friction between the garments. This movement prevents the fabrics from intertwining and limits the traction responsible for tears. In addition, during the spin cycle, they act as shock absorbers , helping to detach the vine shoots without damaging the fibers.
Attention to detail:
- Make sure the caps are tightly closed to prevent any water from leaking inside the bottles.
- Use medium-sized bottles ( 1.5 litres ), neither too heavy nor too light.
