All a flight attendant can do during a flight is remove the paper from the floor or eliminate the smell with deodorant. This doesn’t always help, so many have started looking for other solutions to the problem. “It’s all so banal!” says Irina.

To ensure that the dry toilets always remain clean and well-maintained, flight attendants use regular coffee grounds. It works no worse than perfume and eliminates the unpleasant smell from the toilet in a matter of minutes. Simply pour the grounds previously taken from the coffee maker into the toilet, wait 5 minutes, and press the flush button.
Additionally, coffee grounds act as a cleaner and can be used as an abrasive rust remover. To remove rust deposits, you should wear rubber gloves, generously sprinkle coffee grounds on a sponge, and scrub the inside of the toilet with them. Let it sit for at least a few minutes and then thoroughly clean with a toilet brush. If you periodically clean the toilet from plaque and reddish stains, it will always be snow-white and free from stubborn stains.
