Lymph nodes are essential organs: they help our immune system defend itself against external aggressions. That’s why it’s common to feel them swollen during a cold or even the flu. When faced with waste, bacteria, or even cancer cells, they become active to eliminate them. But when should you be concerned? Here’s what you need to know.

It’s not always known, but the human body is dotted with hundreds of small lymph nodes that form veritable lymph node chains.
