Why do geckos come to your home and how to keep them away?

But even though their role in nature is useful, we often prefer to see them outside!
The home trick that changes everything: simple, natural, effective
Here’s a little old-fashioned recipe brought up to date. It only requires two ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen: fine salt and garlic powder. Yes, it’s that simple!
Mix one tablespoon of garlic powder with two tablespoons of fine salt. Then divide this mixture into small containers (such as bottle caps) and place them in strategic corners of your rooms: near windows, under furniture, behind curtains, or in the bathroom.
The strong smell of garlic and the drying effect of salt make the environment unattractive to our little scaly visitors.
Why does it work?
Geckos, though secretive, have a keen sense of smell. Garlic acts as a natural repellent thanks to its powerful odor. Salt, on the other hand, can contribute to drying out the surrounding air, making the area less conducive to insects… and therefore less attractive to geckos.
