Snakes are animals that appear quite a lot in life and cause a lot of confusion for people, especially in areas where poisonous snakes appear a lot. They crawl on roofs, on tree branches, they hide under beds, hide in corners or cool places.

That is why the research and study of snakes is very much noticed by people and scientists today. Research on snakes shows that snakes are a type of high-level animal with a very developed sense of smell, they like this smell and fear that smell.

Specifically, there are folk tales about a number of plants that attract snakes to gather, which is very dangerous. These are the plants:

1. White snake grass (white snake tongue grass, boa constrictor grass, snake grass, snake grass…) is a type of grass that grows all year round on the roadside, in humid places, prefers cool places and is found in all three regions of the North, Central and South. Where there is this type of grass, there are snakes.

2. White snake grass (also known as white flower tail, thorn leaf plant, white snow flower), grows in cool, humid places. Although the plant is a precious medicinal herb used to treat dermatitis, gallstones, hepatitis, cancer or brighten the eyes… its scent is especially attractive to snakes.

3. Purple cassia fruit is sweet when ripe… and is food for mice, squirrels, porcupines… Because snakes love to eat mice, when purple cassia fruit is ripe, snakes look for it to hunt mice. This plant often grows in clumps along streams, forest edges, in humid places, with lots of shade… so people should avoid places where purple cassia fruit is in season to avoid being bitten by snakes.
