After several lockdowns, a study has shown that more and more people have turned to caring for plants and greenery. In fact, even those who do not have much space have not given up buying a few plants to scatter on their windowsills or in their living room.
This is because it has been proven that caring for plants helps relieve tension. In addition, some indoor (and non-indoor) plants can also have beneficial effects on the air we breathe in our homes. Some, in fact, are even capable of absorbing formaldehyde and other dangerous substances, commonly contained, for example, in paints.
However, it is not always possible to grow your plants lush and healthy. This can happen for several reasons. One of them is poor fertilization . Not everyone has a green thumb and is able to understand when to fertilize and how. Luckily, there are some natural ingredients that are very powerful for our plants. Let’s discover one that is even stronger than water.

The strongest ingredient in water.
The ingredient that is stronger than water to use on our plants is actually water-based and we usually throw it away because we don’t know what to do with it. It is the water used to cook rice, which, due to its properties, can be very beneficial for vegetables.
It is a white liquid, more or less dense, that we usually throw down the sink. This is because we do not know that it is very rich in nutrients, which is why it is used in agriculture for a dual purpose.
The first thing is to hydrate the plant. Secondly, feed it because it is rich in minerals (potassium, magnesium, etc.) that help plants grow stronger, healthier and faster. In addition, rice water also contains the carbohydrates and starches that soil microorganisms need to do their job.

To use it, you must put rice in a container filled with water. Rinse it thoroughly with water , using your hands, rubbing it. Alternatively, you can use the cooking water. The next step is to filter the water with a strainer to remove the rice.
Use this water to water your plants at least three times a week . Especially in summer, watering rice with water should be done from five o’clock in the evening. This way, there will be less evaporation and the soil will absorb all the nutrients useful for the plants.
