First, cut the lemon peel and garlic into small pieces. These two ingredients, with their strong smell, are known to be effective at repelling mice.
Place the grated lemon peel and the garlic pieces in a clean, dry glass jar. This bottle will serve as the base for our natural repellent.
Add a tablespoon of ground coffee to the jar. The smell of coffee is also unpleasant to mice. Next, add a few whole cloves to the jar. Cloves give off a specific smell that deters rodents.
Finally, add vinegar to the jar. Vinegar has a strong smell that mice find unpleasant and which keeps them away.
Close the jar tightly and let it sit for 48 hours. Shake the jar occasionally to ensure the ingredients are well mixed and the smells are fully released.
After the remaining time, strain the liquid from the bottle and pour it into a spray bottle. This is your ready-to-use repellent.
Spray the liquid on areas where you suspect mice are entering your home, such as the ceiling. E.g., door frames, windows, pipe openings, attics, sheds, garages, etc. Mice and rats avoid these areas due to the unpleasant smell of the repellent.
With these simple steps, you will have created a natural and safe repellent to keep rats and mice out of your home. Be sure to use it regularly and consistently to keep your home free of these unwanted pests. Protect your space and enjoy the security that a rodent-free home provides!
