The first and most important aspect of age spots is prevention. Starting at a young age, you should use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 daily, even in winter and on cloudy days. You should also wear sun-protective clothing like hats and sunglasses. However, if you’ve already developed age spots, you can reduce their appearance with some natural skincare remedies.
Apple cider vinegar: Studies show that the acetic acid in apple cider vinegar (ACV) can lighten skin pigmentation. To use apple cider vinegar on your skin, you must first mix it with equal parts water, otherwise it will be too harsh. Apply the mixture to the dark spots and leave it on for two to three minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and repeat twice daily.
